I had another go at the Marina in Seattle..these are just little water colour sketches, but I did achieve a clearer colour the second time. I often paint a subject a couple of times before I develop my ideas into a larger painting..it seems easier to commit yourself to a larger format once you have tried the image and idea a few different ways.
We visited a very small Marina in Seattle to see a 48 Hatteras, the marina was so quaint and pretty and in very good condition. it was a private marina. I tried to capture the look of it..I think I may try this again and make the colour's fresher..although,  I was attempting to get the moody feel of the day..and think I got a muddy look instead..lol.
